Fine tuning and fraud and corruption control: How subtle adjustments in a rapidly evolving environment can optimise performance

Hosted by KPMG

When:  Thursday 16 November 2023

Where: KPMG, 235 St Georges Terrace, Perth, WA 6000

Time: From 5pm for a 5.15pm start

Price: Free for members, $30.00 for non-members

In an environment of deteriorating economic conditions, with technology fueling an evolving face of emerging threats, fraud and corruption risk continues to intensify.  Organisations need to implement systems that are adaptable and relevant in this changing environment, including the adoption of new technologies to drive more innovative solutions, but they also need to consider how they can recalibrate the implementation of key controls so that they account for changes in their operating environment.

During this session, the panel of SMEs, from across Government, the Corporate sector and Consulting, will highlight circumstances where elements of change have contributed to fraud and corruption events disrupting operations, and offer insights that will help organisations embrace change to mature their frameworks in order to continue to effectively combat fraud and corruption risk in a rapidly evolving environment.

Stay posted for the presenter announcements. This event takes place during International Fraud Awareness Week!

Trust is an integral element of all business relationships. Like it or not, third parties hold the key to your reputation and success. A contract is simply a promise written on a piece of paper. Ben Arnold and Alistair Purt used their industry experience to guide you through the common pitfalls and success factors of embedding a governance and monitoring framework for joint ventures, contractors and suppliers.
